- User context (user ID, but not personal identifiable information) to help reproduce and fix bugs
- App state and navigation history at the time of errors
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide Core Services: Store and display your daily spiritual practice data, generate insights and visualizations (heatmaps, charts, progress tracking)
- Account Management: Create and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, and sync your data across devices
- Communication: Send authentication emails (magic links, password resets), respond to support requests, and notify you of important updates
- Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve and optimize the app experience, fix bugs, and develop new features. This includes:
- Using EAS Analytics to understand feature usage and user engagement patterns
- Using Sentry error tracking to identify, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical issues
- Monitoring app performance and stability metrics
- Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted and SOC 2 Type 2 certified database service provider. We implement comprehensive security measures:
- Encryption: Industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit (SSL/TLS)
- Access Controls: Row-level security policies ensure you can only access your own data
- Authentication: Secure password hashing and token-based authentication
- Monitoring: Regular security assessments and monitoring for suspicious activity

Data Backups: While we maintain regular backups for system reliability, we strongly recommend using the app's built-in data export feature to create your own backups of your spiritual practice data.
5. Data Privacy and Sharing
5.1 Your Privacy is Sacred
Your spiritual practice data is completely private and sacred. We do not:
- Review, read, or analyze your daily entries, reflections, or personal responses
- Share your spiritual practice data with any third parties
- Use your data for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes
- Sell your information to anyone, ever
Your entries are for your personal use and spiritual growth only.
5.2 Limited Data Sharing
We only share your information in these limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the app:
- Supabase: Securely stores all your spiritual practice data, account information, and preferences. They are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- Sentry: Receives only technical error data (crash reports, device info, error logs) to help us fix bugs. Your spiritual practice content is never sent to Sentry.
- EAS Analytics: Receives only aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (which features are used, app performance metrics). No personal or spiritual practice data is sent to EAS.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect our rights, property, or safety
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you would be notified via email and/or prominent notice in the app)
6. Third-Party Services
The app integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase: Database, authentication, and backend infrastructure (Supabase Privacy Policy)
- Apple Sign-In: Optional authentication method (Apple Privacy Policy)
- Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method (Google Privacy Policy)
- Expo/EAS: App development, deployment platform, and analytics (Expo Privacy Policy)
- EAS Analytics collects aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to help us understand how users interact with the app
- No personal spiritual practice data or personally identifiable information is sent to EAS Analytics
- Sentry: Error tracking and performance monitoring (Sentry Privacy Policy)
- Sentry receives crash reports, error logs, and diagnostic information when the app encounters technical issues
- Data sent to Sentry includes: error messages, stack traces, device information, OS version, and user ID (but not your email or personal data)
- No spiritual practice content (prayers, reflections, notes) is ever sent to Sentry
- Sentry data is used solely to identify, diagnose, and fix bugs and technical issues
When you use Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, your authentication is handled by Apple or Google respectively. We only receive basic profile information (email address) that you authorize us to access.
7. Your Data Rights
You have complete control over your data. You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all your personal data stored in the app
- Export: Download your data in a portable format using the built-in data export feature in the Account tab
- Correction: Update or correct your account information and spiritual practice entries at any time
- Deletion of Entries: Delete individual daily entries or reflections while keeping your account active
- Account Deletion: Permanently delete your account and all associated data through the Account tab settings. Upon deletion, all your personal information, spiritual practice entries, and preferences will be permanently erased within 30 days.
- Opt-Out: Manage notification preferences and data collection settings

8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information as follows:
- Active Accounts: Data is retained for as long as your account remains active
- Deleted Accounts: Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law
- Backups: Deleted data may remain in backup systems for up to 90 days before being permanently purged
- Legal Holds: Data subject to legal obligations or disputes will be retained until the obligation is fulfilled
9. Children's Privacy
Receiving Nur - Ramadan Daily Awareness is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Parental Consent: If a child under 13 wishes to use the app, a parent or legal guardian must:
- Create and manage the account on the child's behalf
- Supervise the child's use of the app
- Take responsibility for all data entered and activities performed
Parental Rights: Parents or guardians of children under 13 have the right to:
